Ellen of the Ways Healing Retreats are immersive, femme and them-centered experiences rooted in ecopsychology and indigenous-centered principles.
They are not fleeting escapes or wellness weekends where you return unchanged. They are sacred invitations to remember what you already know and carry it back into the world.
You too, are nature.
Ellen approaches nature not as a backdrop for healing, but as a co-facilitator. She regards the natural world as an embodied, animate presence, and retreat participants are invited into that same relationship. To ask permission before entering a space. To bring gifts. To listen.
Future Retreats
Not quite ready to be revealed—yet. Upcoming retreats are taking shape quietly behind the scenes, with every detail being thoughtfully considered before we open the doors. What’s unfolding is simple, grounded time close to the land, with a clear rhythm, room to breathe, and everything prepared before you arrive. Join the waiting list to be among the first to know when these experiences are ready to bloom.
“There was incredible connection and so much space for individual realization and reflection. This retreat was an invitation into anamnesis. Ellen as a host was intuitive, generous and a nature translating goddess.”

2026 Nature Retreat: IN OUR ELEMENT, July 25-30
Take a peek at the sold out retreat
In July 2026, a small group of women, femmes, and thems gathered in the mountains of Bailey, Colorado for In Our Element, a six-day element-inspired nature retreat hosted by Ellen and the sacred land of Colorado itself.
What participants arrived to was simple, grounded, and intentionally unfancy. A riverfront lodge. Stocked cabins. Meals crafted by a private chef. Access to sauna, steam, and cold plunge. And six days structured around one invitation: to put it all down and come back to themselves.
Each day moved through one of the natural elements, earth, water, air, fire, and spirit, with optional ritual invitations woven throughout. Guided hikes through the nearby trails. River rock intention rituals. Watercolor painting with river water. Candle making. A silent morning on the windy ridge summit. A full moon dinner where participants made homemade pasta together.
All of it held by the land, and by each other.
“This retreat was grounding, deeply meaningful, a restful pause from everyday life that fostered reflection, connection, and presence and provided an opportunity to reconnect with myself, others, and nature.
Ellen as a host was kind, warm, and gracious. From the moment I decided to attend the retreat, she kept me informed throughout the process, regularly checked in to see if I had any special requests or needs, and thoughtfully attended to every detail. She not only created a meaningful daily experience but also ensured we were well nourished with delicious meals and a beautiful, peaceful setting. She fostered a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt safe, included, and supported, while encouraging each of us to share our ideas without pressure or a rigid agenda.”
